TECTYL® 915W40E2 is a premium dual-purpose internal combustion engine oil and corrosion preventive compound manufactured by Daubert Chemical Company. Specifically designed for both new and rebuilt engines, this high-quality product serves as both a fully operational engine oil and a superior preservative coating that protects engine parts during covered shipment and indoor storage. The product forms an oily, translucent protective film that meets the requirements of Military Specification MIL-PRF-21260E, Grade 15W40, QPL Reference Number MP-432, ensuring exceptional performance and long-term protection for up to 5 years in appropriate storage conditions.

Application Guidelines
TECTYL® 915W40E2 is formulated to be used as supplied without thinning. Ensure uniform consistency prior to use, though continued stirring is generally not required.
Surface Preparation:
- For maximum performance, metal surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, and mill scale
- Recommended substrate temperature during application: 50-95°F (10-35°C)
Application Methods:
- Use as factory fill and break-in oil for all new and rebuilt engines
- Can be used as a completely operational oil for current production engines
- No need to change until first scheduled oil change specified by engine manufacturer
- For preservative coating applications, apply to clean engine parts to protect during shipment and storage
Important Notes:
- If product thickens due to cold storage or loss of solvent, contact Daubert Chemical Company
- DO NOT THIN the product as incorrect thinning will affect film build, dry time, and performance
- The addition of any product over or under this coating is not recommended due to potential chemical incompatibility
Storage and Handling
- Store in appropriate engine oil containers at moderate temperatures
- Removal methods include TECTYL® HPS solventborne thinner, vapor degreasing, hot alkaline wash, or low-pressure steam
- Can be removed from fabrics by normal dry cleaning procedures
- Avoid using chlorinated or highly aromatic solvents when removing from painted surfaces
